Galaxynet :: Enabling Cookies

Why do I have to enable Cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of information that a web server sends out to the computers requesting information. This information is used to remember who you are, what you bought, color preferences, etc.

Galaxynet uses cookies to keep track of your user name, your full name, your web site color preferences, and other bits of information collected as you surf our web site. Please note that because of security your password is never stored in a cookie.

Cookies you receive from Galaxynet which contain your user name and real name are stored on your computer, and are only valid for 30 minutes. Cookies that save your color preferences are "persistent," and remain on your computer until you delete them. The cookies are sent again when you visit our web site again.

Since many people feel cookies present a security risk (which they don't), your browser may ask you whether you want to accept cookies every time our server creates or updates a cookie. Correct operation of our site requires that you accept all cookies.

Cookies can not be used by other sites than the ones that created them. Consequently, a malicious web site operator cannot access the cookies that our web site sent you. For more information about cookies, please visit our Cookies Web Page.
